game consoles                         Game Consoles

This morning I noticed that the new video game consoles that we’d given the kids for Christmas was left out in the middle of the floor, along with the controls and several games.  My first reaction was to put the game consoles back where it belongs, because that’s what moms do, but then I realized that if I did that, the kids would continue with the same behavior. I knew that they’d had a late night, because I woke up at one to go to the restroom and could hear them laughing, but at this point I didn’t care.

I walked into my son’s room and then my daughters woke them both up and asked them if they’d forgotten something in the living room.  They both said no, but I reminded them of the game consoles. They both groaned and said they’d take care of it later, but I informed them quickly that later had arrived. Both of them got up at the same time, put the game consoles and all the accessories away and went back to bed.  It didn’t matter that I’d got it all for a great price online, what matters is that they keep the video game consoles and their stuff picked up, or it won’t last anytime. Hopefully they learned their lesson.
