A Plasma HDTV for Recreation Room |

For about two years, my husband has wanted a Plasma HDTV for our recreation room. While I tend to think on the smaller, more practical side, he and my son tend to think on the side of 'bigger is better', so they wanted a huge HDTV that pretty much covered the entire north wall of the room. They kept talking and talking about it until finally, when we had the extra money, I suggested that they start doing some price comparisons for the Plasma HDTV and see what they could come up with. Eventually they agreed on a VIERA TC-P50G10 50" Plasma HDTV that they found online for literally hundreds of dollars less than the local electronics store, so I gave them the 'go ahead' to place their order.
Once they got that set up and installed, then came the quest for finding a home theater system to make the recreation room 'awesome'. Luckily, that wasn't nearly as expensive and they found one online and placed their order. Now one would think that after all that shopping and getting a home theater system, and a Plasma HDTV that they would be finished and the recreation room would be fantastic, but no, that isn't quite the case.
Two days ago they both informed me that they were bored with their current gaming system and had been eyeing one of the new game consoles and wondered what I thought about them ordering it. This time I put my foot down and told them that it would be a while before any new game consoles came into the house. One would think that having a teenage son would be bad, but having him and my husband both wanting these things is double trouble. Instead, I decided go back to Home Online Direct where we bought the Plasma HDTV. There online store can be found by visiting www.homeonlinedirect.com and I plan on ordering them one for my son’s birthday next month. If I don't do that, then I'll be at a loss on what to give him when his birthday rolls around. After all, he has everything. I'm not even going to tell my husband that I've been looking at game consoles, because I know that in spite of maybe wanting to keep it a secret from my son, that he'll get excited and end up spilling the beans, so for now, I'm the only one who knows. I think they'll both find out next month, on his birthday. At least then it will be a surprise, and hopefully they'll be done with shopping for a while. |
