Even Me, Who Had Never Played Video Games, Now Loves Wii Video Games |

My brother use to sit and play video games all day long, every day. I could never understand how he could sit there and stare at the screen like that. I would spend the most of my time hanging out with friends, watching cute guys in my favorite movies, or talking on the phone. Video games were the farthest thing from my mind. Today, because of Wii video games, I am finally joining my family in playing these games.
Once I got married, I never thought we would have a day when we would all get together and play Wii video games. A few games of Monopoly, Scrabble, Trivia Pursuit, or Connect Four would do just fine. But, my husband was really looking into buying a Wii a few months ago. We talked it over and decided that we would buy one, but it had to be for the whole family. I didn't see myself playing any Wii video games, but thought the kids would enjoy it. After we bought it, my husband set it up and started playing a few of the Wii video games with the kids. I have to admit, I was a little curious and felt a strange desire to play.
I started with the Wii video games that came with the system. We bowled, played baseball, and played tennis until well into the night. My arm really hurt the next day, but I had a blast. Now, we set a night apart from the rest of the week to play Wii video games as a family. I have even started to play other games and have fallen in love with Mario. I think I play these Wii video games even more than my kids.
While searching for some new Wii video games for the family I came across a site called Home Online Direct. At www.homeonlinedirect.com there were several Wii video games that I had never heard of before. I was looking through them and saw a new Mario game called Nintendo Super Mario Galaxy for Wii. I thought it looked like a lot of fun so I ordered it.
Once it arrived from Home Online Direct we started playing it. Actually, I started playing it and everyone else would watch. I had turned into one of those people who guarded the Wii and wouldn't let anyone else near it! However, after a few hours (I know...) I let the kids play with me. We played for hours and picked up where we left off in the morning. |
